HS Marston Aerospace Limited

We were approached by HS Marston Aerospace Limited to supply a high visibility welding bay system for use at their engine and environmental control systems facility.

We were provided with these technical drawings:

Our special installations team installed this system:

Here is what HS Marston Aerospace said about us:

"Safety First were an amazing help over the phone, asking me for every detail, as well as offering inventive solutions to the problems I was facing.  Not only this but the contunual update from stage to stage once the order had been placed, keeping me reassured that the work was flowing.  And not having to phone in and ask every day where we were on the project was a huge help to me.  The quality of the parts on arrival was much more than expected, and I was deeply impressed with the ease of fabrication and the overall impressive quality down to the smallest component."

Airedale International Air Conditioning Ltd

Airedale Air Conditioning is a British manufacturer and the UK's number one provider of chillers, precision air conditioning and IT cooling solutions.Airedale Air Conditioning is a British manufacturer and the UK's number one provider of chillers, precision air conditioning and IT cooling solutions.

Their requirement was to design and install a welding bay solution into their new, purpose built £35million facility.  Through our distributor, BOC, we delivered a comprehensive system that fully met with requirements and regulations.

The requirement included large 7 metre spans that were required for access and welding curtains that were completely unsupported between the uprights.  This required a new engineering approach, moving away from standard 50mm box section stanchions and 31mm track.  We used heavy duty C-section and 100mm box section steel to construct a mini-mock up version of the system for approval.  Once approval was received, we built the completely bespoke, free standing system, bolted to the floor and complete with powder coated stanchions, powder coated C-sections, track and welding PVC high visibility curtain and gliding trolley wheels.  We supplied the full method statements and risk assessments and the system was installed by our special installations team.
