Question: We are teaching people how to set up fire safely and we are looking for a pad that we can lay down for this purpose.  Is there anything suitable that you would suggest?

Answer: Yes, we manufacture a heat pad, filled with ceramic filler, which is ideal for this kind of application.  It can also be used for plumbing and brazing, as it is manufactured using our famous Weldstop, which goes up to 1500 degrees and will hold up to 35g of molten metal for a 2 hr period.

Question: Do you supply a film that can be put on windows to protect eyes from Welding Arc?

Answer: We can supply made to measure welding PVC, with adhesive flame retardant Velcro, that can be attached to any sized window. This enable users to remove the Welding PVC any time they choose.  All of our Welding PVCs conform to EN1598.

Question: We are a precision engineering company and we need to cover our rubber bellows with a very hardwearing, flexible heat-proof material.  Is this something you can provide?

Answer: Yes we can!  We would suggest our Neoprene coated glass fabric for this application and we can also put elastic on these bespoke covers for you, in order to get the snug fit that you require.  Just give us the sizes and we’ll do the rest.

Question: My workers are wearing safety harnesses, but we need something to protect the harnesses from getting burnt from sparks.  Is there a product you would recommend?

Answer: Yes, we can manufacture chrome leather covers with fire retardant velcro fastening to wrap around the harnesses – a very simple and economic option!!!

Q: Nic, are all of your products ‘off the shelf’ or can you customise them?

A: We regularly customise products for our customers so that they fit the requirements needed, so feel free to ask!

Question: Nic, how do we know if a material is suitable for the purpose we need it for?

Answer: You‘ll find almost every product we offer has a downloadable spec sheet on our website and we’re always happy to send material samples out.

Question: Nic, does bringing on products in construction for example mean that you’re moving away from welding related products?

Answer: No, far from it.  Welding is and will always be our core business.  We want to add other products to our portfolio but there will always be some synergy between them and our core business activities.

Question: Nic, my brother has a company abroad.  Do you export?

Answer: We’re happy to sell all over the world but of course, our main business is centred in and around the UK.
